Biophysics is the discipline that bridges biology and physics. It is the study of the structure and function of biomolecules.

Proteins are the biomolecules that perform the body’s physiochemical reactions and maintain the cytoskeleton.Protein receptors allow us to sense the environment through our five senses.Proteins provide the energy and build muscles for our movement, maintain our health, and are involved in all aspects of functioning of the body. They fire the electrical signals in our brain, read the DNA blueprints in our body, and copy the DNA for future generations.

This course will start with the basic concepts of protein structure: i) how protein structures are uniquely designed for their specific function; ii) how these structures are dynamic (with their surface charge motifs and patterns of hydration); iii) and how the network of proteins not only provides all that is needed for the mechanical functioning of the body; but also iv) how this network provides the vibrational and energetic components for creating biofields. The course will also include other areas of study, such as, bioenergetics, transport systems, microtubules and quantum coherence in the cytoskeleton network.

The basic concepts of protein and water structures, along with the interaction of water with charged ions, will be the foundation for exploring the mechanisms of subtle energy fields (biofields) that these and other biomolecules may provide.Taking the perspective of biofields, we will explore quantum biology—the “mystical” connections through “quantum entanglement” (simply described as non-local connectivity of matter).

The ancient Indian Vedic philosophical texts describe Consciousness as “the ultimate mystery and its study the highest science.”In this course, we will approach the study of Consciousness through quantum entanglement in biological systems (the quantum coherence of highly mobile electrons and biophotons, and the amazing properties of water, which may be a carrier of information across a multitude of systems in the body).

This course will be different from other courses at CIHS in that we will focus on energy fields generated by biomolecules (mainly proteins) from a structural perspective and then extend our exploration into the study of Consciousness. As humans, are we designed for quantum awakening?

I invite you to join me in this class, as we explore the hidden connections between quantum biology and Consciousness together.

I am in the process of finalizing the course now, and welcome any suggestions and input.
